Welcome
Finlay Minerals is a TSX Venture Exchange company focused on exploration for base and precious metal deposits in northern British Columbia. The company's flagship properties - Pil and Atty are situated in the Toodoggone region, a mineral rich area that is host to several copper-gold porphyry and epithermal gold-silver deposits.
Currently producing mines in the Toodoggone region are Northgate Mineral's Kemess Mine (copper-gold) and Sable Resource's Baker Mine (gold-silver). The Kemess operation is the largest metal mine in northern BC and is also the province's largest gold producer. The Kemess North deposit and the recent discovery of an adjacent new mineralized zone may greatly extend the mine's life. Finlay's Atty property immediately adjoins the Kemess North deposit.
Finlay recently acquired the Silver Hope property adjacent to the former Equity silver-copper-gold mine southeast of Houston, BC. This mine was formerly the province's largest silver producer.
Management is lead by Mr. John Barakso with over 40 years of exploration experience and a member of the Kemess North deposit discovery team. Technical management also includes Mr. Robert Brown, P.Geo and Mr. Warner Gruenwald, P.Geo both with over 30 years in the mineral exploration field.
Finlay's common shares began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on August 15, 2002 under the symbol "FYL".
